I am a lover of all things Spanish. I love the culture, the people and the language. Someone could yell at you and call you and your mother all sorts of things in spanish and you could sit there and say "that's the most beautiful thing I have ever heard." My main goal in life, besides raise my kids to eventually leave the nest, would be to be fluent in Spanish.
I have almost every book on tape, book on cd, book for dummies, I even own the Rosetta Stone computer-based learning system. I really want to be fluent. This semester, as well as a few before, I have taken online classes. One in particular this semester would be Intermediate Spanish. Our text is Sol y Viento (Sun and Wind). The video behind the text is about a Winery (Sol y Viento) in Chile that is being sought by an American company and they send their "representative" down to try to finalize the sale. I wanted to learn more about the story and came across at great website/blog. The Spanish Dilettante is written by a student studying Spanish and not only does he give great break downs of the Sol y Viento episodes but reviews of spanish books and other resources.
If you ever had a love of anything Spanish check out the site.
